MY INSIGHT, APRIL 2017
Bygone days i had some great conversations. Coincidance? I believe not. For more than 10 years i am working as a full-time yoga teacher. In addition a lot of years before as a "part- and full-time fitness instructor".
But: What does it mean to be a experienced yoga teacher in a professional way? Does it mean you are a experienced one because of:
Reading a lot of specialist literature invoke it in one's sleep;
Practicing every day strong asana series for min. 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs;
Pass and complete teacher trainings a lot;
Teaching a lot of retreats and superbig yoga groups;
Collect a lot of facebook likes;
Working without any teamwork;
And so forth.
Maybe. Maybe not.
It took over 10 years of reading practicing joining teaching to found my own truth. And some crunchpoints along my teacher´s life journey boosted it, too. I´d like to share it with you. If you like, like. If not, leave it alone:
I learn(ed) much more from my clients different body types and needings than from "highly recommended books";
I found such super experienced teachers and trainers WITHOUT ANY RYT RYS certification;
I almost practice daily meditation and pranayama;
I do a moderate self practice that supports MY body mind and soul;
I travel to places i´ve never been before. And met life experienced and soulful humans;
I love to join in a yoga class as a student;
I found and find my inspiration in stillness;
I do not believe in facebook likes;
I trust the real ones;
Moreover:
I took real good dinner with my best friends;
Pampering myself in (daily) retreats – by doing absoletely NOTHING;
I received big hugs with a lot of tears.
I gave big hugs – even with a lot of tears.
I did a cutback and practice simplicity.
And so much more.
